The organizing committee of the 8th Annual Socio-Cultural Research Congress on Cambodia has the honor to invite national and international scholars, professors, and researchers who are conducting research on Cambodian Society and Culture to be the presenters in this scientific forum, which will be held from 21st to 23rd November 2005 at the Royal University of Phnom Penh, Campus II.
Papers should be submitted to one of three tracks:
(A) Khmer Arts and History (Art, History, Archaeology, Politics, Philosophy, Buddhism, Literature, Linguistics)
(B) Khmer Society (Anthropology, Sociology, Population Studies, Psychology).
(C) Khmer Development (Education, Health, Economics, Environment, Tourism).
Deadline for Abstract Submission: 07 October 2005
We welcome papers to this Congress. Abstracts can be printed in Khmer, English or French, but must not exceed 250 words or not more than one page of A4 Paper and should state the track to which the abstract is submitted at the top (A, B or C as described above). Abstracts should have the title in Khmer and English/French, the name, affiliation, and address of presenters including phone and fax numbers, and e-mail address for communication. Further, the abstract must state the area of focus of the study, objectives and methodology employed, and the major findings of the research. Seventy abstracts will be accepted and all persons submitting an abstract will be notified by 21st October 2005.
Full papers for accepted abstracts will be printed in the conference proceedings if received prior to the close of the conference. Papers should not exceed 20 pages (printed on A4 paper, print size 12 MS-Word for Font Arial and 20 for Font Limon S1 with top and bottom margins 2.5 cm, left margin 3.0 cm and right margin 2.0 cm) and should also include a copy on diskette or sent electronically. The conference program will be circulated to participants on the first day of the Congress.
