Why I carry a camera phone: I was on a motodop (motorcycle taxi) and once I spotted this crazy ad:
“Follow that tuk-tuk!” And we chased it down this beverage advertisement. Cambodia: truly a movable feast.

Now I must find and document who is selling this crazy product.

Probably my most ‘Not Safe For Work‘ post ever.

I was at Mother in Law‘s. (The restaurant, not the person.)
And it’s such an innocuous eatery until you get to the menu…

Let’s just say it was a vegetarian evening.

The crust of rice at the bottom of a big pot? Usually recycled for later eating, depending on how burnt it is.

On my bike I spotted a pile of rice pot husks in transit. I whipped out my camera phone (kids, don’t try this at home…)

When you see these long sticks with snares at the end, you know everyone is gearing up for collecting some yummy fruit. The rains haven’t started yet, but given the heat of late, bring it on!

Anthropomorphic Cannibalism in Cambodia

Remember kids, there’s meat, and then there’s HAM. Cambodia is not the easiest place to keep kosher or halal. It seems like there is no Khmer dish that can’t be improved without a little pork – even coffee.

Photo Wednesday picture from Pencil Supermarket, Phnom Penh, Norodom Boulevard. One of the reasons I carry a phone cam is for those: ‘Holy (sliced) cow!’ moments.

The image of an animal willingly serving itself up to be eaten is more commonplace than you might think, according a to Flickr group devoted to this curious phenomenon.
“The first photo in the pool isn’t exactly what i’m going for, but if you know it you know it…i remember it from BBQ places in the South…but for all i know it may be international…” Oh yes, it is.
