LES ENIGMES DE LA PERIODE « POST-BAYON »

Jeudi 22 Octobre 2003 Vous êtes cordialement invité à assister à la présentation informelle: LES ENIGMES DE LA PERIODE « POST-BAYON » Ludivine PROVOST Doctorant, Université de la Sorbonne-Paris III A l’occasion de cette conférence, Ludivine PROVOST présentera les ultimes témoignages de l’ activité Brahmanique à Angkor durant la période « post- Bayon ». Elle reviendra donc sur les connaissances actuelles du sujet : point sur la « réaction Shivaïte » au règne de Jayavarman VII ; importance du monument 487/Mangalartha, dernier édifice Brahmanique daté de l’ancienne capitale angkorienne. Elle présentera également ses travaux de maîtrise et de DEA portant sur le site du Préah Pithu, qu’elle considère comme largement d’époque «post-Bayon ». Ludivine PROVOST prépare un doctorat en études indiennes à l’Université de la Sorbonne-Paris III. Sa thèse, dirigée par Bruno Dagens, traite des tout derniers siècles de l’époque angkorienne en pays Khmer, entre 1220 et 1430 A.D. environ. Ludivine PROVOST est chargée de cours en art et archéologie du Cambodge ancien à l’Université de Paris IV et bénéficie actuellement d’une bourse doctorale de l’EFEO. La présentation aura lieu le 22 Octobre, à 18 heures 30 dans le « Angkor International Documentation Center ». This new and improve version is a complete facelift, from top to bottom. Reintroduced in a sleek new design, On the Spotlight aims to expose and promote Khmer artists to the global community. For easy navigational purposes, three popular new features are found smack dab in the middle: What's New, Events Calendar, and Arts & Entertainment News. The first column is published news written by the Rajana Press and articles and statements written on the Society. The Events Calendar powered by the Washington State Cambodian Community (WSCC) and other Yahoogroups will keep those informed of local and national happenings within the community. Thirdly, the A & E News section will strive to provide quality, up-to-dated news from the art and entertainment world. The site also includes a "knowledge box" component. Rotated regularly will be the integration of Khmer riddles, proverbs, adages, did you know facts, and other useful and thought provocative commentaries. Additionally, a survey has been set-up to gather information and opinions from our visitors. Finally with the Interactive menu, visitors and members can engage with Rajana through a selection of channels.
