Actual News

Real news: a new revised Cambodian dictionary! This is a landmark achievement. But what is the verdict of the scholars - is it good or does it need some more work? Courtesy Tharum.
Kampuchea Crossings has some very pithy observations about Hurricane Katrina hitting her home town, New Orleans.
And during September, Siem Reap hosted FOSSAP II, a landmark meeting about Open Source. Wish I could have been there.
Kalabird has some Khmer Architecture Tour photos you should check out,
while Cameras4Cambodia is chronicling her trip by train to Battambang (with photos!)
And here's an interesting item - a blog posting on labor conditions in Cambodia that sums up pretty concisely some of its development. http://www.nathannewman.org/laborblog/archive/002665.shtml Meanwhile, jinja.apsara.org is getting hundreds of visitors from a rather pervy looking Japanese blog, possibly due to a translation appearing on a Excite,a local portal.
