'Tis the Season
Up late late for some very um, exciting officework.
Walking home because I'm tired of aggressive motos and want a little space to breathe.
It's easy to slip into a routine and gloss over the daily experience, the moments that you're living in Cambodia.
It's about 12 pm but people are still up at the food stalls. Curious in a country where people close up early in the evening. Did something happen?
Then I see people laughing and shouting in a circle further down the lane. Khmer New Year is officially on the way.
A good closing to a busy day.
