The Nou Hach Literary Journal has published its fourth issue! In addition to poems and short stories, there are some interesting essays on what writers think of ‘identity’. What is a writer? What does it mean to be a writer? Guest contributors include Klairung Amratisha and Sato Yoshiko.

“In November 2006 Cambodia’s only indie rock band made a live recording in Battambang at the Arts School PHARE Ponleu Selpak. The performance has been filmed and a selection of 5 songs is the basis of a 2 hours DVD – including music videos by Rithy Panh and KM Lo. People of the different bands and projects will be there to answer all the questions after the screening.”

Tomorrow is the official launch of the rattan and plastic Naga created to raise awareness about environmental issues for World Water Day. We’ve had a zillion plastic bags sloshing down that river, it’s about time some were put to use!

Your Excellencies and friends,
It is with pleasure that we invite you to join us to celebrate the Naga Installation on the Siem Reap River, March 22nd at the FCC-Angkor in Siem Reap, from 6:30pm.
The 200 metre long Naga will be suspended above the river in front of the FCC. Festivities will include a Recycled Fashion Show, and performances along with an exhibition of works by Seckon of 5 large flags, and collages.
