Festival: Tngai Bei
A great time and great mix of people with the third installment of the festival. The crew is looking a little tired but the sound and lighting is still spot on.
I’m a little bummed to have missed Phare Art School’s circus but the Wat Bo Shadow Puppet troupe makes up for it. For most of the audience this is their first time to see ‘Sbaek Thom’ (Big Shadow Puppets) live. Many have seen them on TV but it just ain’t the same. The troupe even sets up some backlit puppets for the crowd to look at as they’re enjoying the performance. Plenty of street kids as well as more middle class folks on motorbikes, passers by and tourists. It’s great to see, it’s clear we’re grabbing a lot of people right off the street as well as from the publicity.
