Dear Friends,
My show in Kunming is up now and I have a few more days of stay here
before going back to Phnom Penh. It’s been a good experience being
here as I feel anonymous because of my color, yet not knowing how to
speak Chinese kept me from stress and informations. I feel more at
home here because of that anonymity.
I made some small progress with the work. I think I was very tired
from the Bangkok show and didn’t make as many work as I should have.
but I managed to make two sculptures, three large drawings and one
painting – just to do something different. Also, the problems with
shipping the work back limited me from doing large work. Instead I
opted to make wall – hung pieces.
I painted one sculpture in glow in the dark paint, just to see what
happens.. I think it came out quite well. I had to build a room for
it, which took some work as well.
