Popular blog ‘Boing Boing‘ has webbed up a note related to this which has resulted in lots of media attention and commentary.
L’Histoire/History has been closed because it does not have a license.

I would suspect that 90% of cafes in PP don’t have a licence, which is useful if the authorities want to close down an embarassing establishment – they just enforce the permit requirement.
It sounds like it was in pretty poor taste, though there are plently of other establishments in PP that do well on political incorrectness. $100 to blow up a cow with a grenade launcher, anyone?
